The Indian Navy planned to acquire 24 HAL Rudra helicopters for anti-submarine and anti-ship missions, but at the end of 2023 ther are no units in service, so perhaps the acquisition plans have been canceled. Instead, the HAL Dhruv helicopter is in service for rescue and maritime patrol missions.

The Indian Army have 42 HAL Rudra attack helicopters in service at the end of 2023, and expects to receive another 25 in the near future, although the delivery schedule is greatly delayed. In addition, it seems that there are serious problems with the acquisition of weapons for this helicopter.

At the end of 2023, the Indian Air Force has 16 HAL Rudra in service, and it appears that there are currently no plans to acquire more units to complete the initial order of 38 aircraft.
