Expal EIMOS CARDOM 81mm

The Expal EIMOS, (Expal Integrated Mortar System), is a development totally conceived and financed by the Spanish Expal company. It consists of mounting an Israeli Soltam Cardom 60 or 81mm mortar on a light 4×4 vehicle along with a Techfire firing control system, resulting in an integrated infantry support system. It can be mounted on different vehicles and the 81mm mortar can be exchanged with a lighter 60mm mortar. The system can be completed with the Expal Shepherd-MIL mini UAV as observer and fire director to increase its effectiveness. Expal also offers the ammunition suitable for the system as High Explosive (HE) or smoke grenades. This system has been chosen by the Spanish and Italian armies for its light and airborne units, and Bahrain for their Special Forces units.
