British CENTAUR AA turret displayed in 2003. This turret was part of a project to build an air defense vehicle armed with two 20mm Polsten guns during WWII. Ultimately, this turret was never installed on any chassis and was only used for training purposes.

German 380mm Raketen-Werfer (rocket-propelled mortar) 61 L/5.4 displayed in 2006. This was the main weapon of the STURMTIGER assault gun from the WWII.

British M-4A4 SHERMAN V FLAIL / CRAB I armoured engineering vehicle from WWII displayed in 2006. This vehicle is one of the famous “Hobart’s Funnies,” and its mission was to clear minefields. It used flails mounted on a rotating drum, which spun at high speed, striking the ground to detonate the mines.

British PRAYING MANTIS light armoured fighting vehicle prototype from WWII displayed in 2003. This vehicle was built in 1943 on the chassis of a Universal Carrier tracked vehicle. Its original hull was replaced with an armored superstructure that could be raised and lowered using a hydraulic system. A small turret with two Bren machine guns was mounted at the front. After trials, it was rejected for operational use.

American LVT-4 WATER BUFFALO amphibious vehicle from WWII displayed in 2003. This vehicle is one of 500 used by the British Army, which designated it as the “Buffalo IV“. A M-29 Weasel tracked vehicle can be seen on the rear ramp.

British Thornycroft BISON Concrete Armoured Lorry displayed in 2003. This unusual vehicle consists of a Thornycroft Tartar truck with a Type 2 pillbox mounted on the rear of the chassis. These trucks were designed for airfield defense and for engaging light infantry units. They were unarmed, and their armor was made of concrete, since in 1940 all available steel was being used for the production of tanks and armored vehicles.

Irish LEYLAND (TERRIER) armoured car from WWII period displayed in 2006. Four of these vehicles were built between 1934 and 1940 for use by the Irish Army. They were based on the 6×4 chassis of the Leyland Terrier truck, with an armored hull of up to 13mm thickness added. Their armament consisted of a 20mm Madsen gun and a coaxial 7.7mm Madsen machine gun mounted in a turret. They remained in service with the Irish Army until 1972 and then continued to serve with the FCA reserve forces until the early 1980s.
