The missile is transported and launched by a large TEL vehicle. The missile measures 18 meters long and weighs around 18 tons depending on the type of warhead. Its operational range is up to 1,800km and it has an inertial flight guidance system and a GPS satellite guidance for the last stage of the flight before the impact.
Pakistan’s arms race against India is based on action-reaction policy and it is curious how on April 11, 1999 India announced its new Agni II missile and on the 14th of that same month, Pakistan made a firing test of the new Ghauri II missile, something really amazing. The test consisted of launching a missile from Punjab to a target located 1,150km away on the Balochistan coast.
