TAURUS KEPD 350 air-launched cruise missile
In 1998 the Taurus Systems company, made up of German MBDA Deutschland GmbH (67%) and Swedish SAAB Dynamics AB (33%) began development of an air-launched cruise missile (ALCM). In 2004 the new missile, named “TAURUS KEPD 350” (Target Adaptive Unitary & Dispenser Robotic Ubiquity System / Kinetic Energy Penetrating Destroyer) entered service with the German Luftwaffe. Since then, the air forces of Spain, South Korea and Sweden have joined the list of users, so this missile can be used by the Tornado IDS, EF-18 Hornet, Eurofighter Typhoon, F-15K Slam Eagle and JAS-39 Gripen aircraft.
