K-300P Bastion-P “SS-C-5 Stooge”

The K.300P Bastion-P, (SS-C-5 Stooge according to NATO designation), is a coastal defense system that uses the P-800 Oniks/Yakhont, (SS-N-26 Strobile) anti-ship missile against surface ships and land targets. The complete system consists of 1 or 2 command vehicles, 1 support vehicle, 4 launchers with 2 missiles each and 4 loaders vehicles. The missile has a maximum range of about 450kms against land targets and 350kms for naval targets. The missile reach Mach 2.5 flying at 14,000 meters high to descend in the final stage to 5 meters over the sea before hit the target. The active-passive radar guidance is a fire-and-forget type, which allows the launcher to leave the position after firing. It is in service since 2010, and there are 2 active versions, the mobile and the silo launched.
