HJ-12 anti-tank missile

In 2014, during Airshow China 2014 in Zhuhai, the state-owned Chinese company NORINCO publicly unveiled a new anti-tank missile designated “Hongjian-12” (Red Arrow 12), now better known as the HJ-12. With this new third-generation missile, the Chinese Army has taken a major step forward in its anti-tank defense, having for the first time a man-portable fire-and-forget missile. This missile is quite similar in performance to the American FGM-148 Javelin, with a range of about 4,000 meters and a tandem shaped hollow charge HEAT warhead capable of destroying virtually any current main battle tank.
