NAGASAKI

Three days after the world knew for the first time the destructive power of the atom, on August 9, 1945, a new demonstration of that power was made. This time, it was the Japanese city of Nagasaki which received another bomb, with a core made of plutonium-239, which sowed death and destruction in the city. From this day forward, the words “Fat Man“, which was the name of the bomb, would be perpetually linked to the term: destruction.
