KN-08 RODONG-C / HWASONG-13

The KN-08, Ro-Dong C / Hwasong-13 ballistic missile, is a North Korean indigenous project based on Russian and Chinese technology. As in all designs of North Korea, the specifications and capabilities of this missile are mistrusted, because although it is considered an intercontinental missile, (ICBM), in some areas, there are sources that it considers as an intermediate range missile or IRBM. It was first observed in 2012, although it is believe that they were mock-ups to confuse international observers. In 2015 another KN-08 missile appeared, designated as “model 2” with clear external differences over the previous one. There is evidence of two tests with these missiles and it seems that the tests ended in failures.
