The gun mounted on the Kégresse M.23 was the same as the one mounted by the Renault FT, Renault R.35 and Hotchkiss H.35 light tanks. Unfortunately this vehicle did not have much success during its service.

The French Army purchased sixteen M.23 that served in Cavalry units on the deserts of Syria and Libya, where they moved properly. The Kégresse patents were purchased by the United States that later developed their famous “half-tracks”.
