Scammell COMMANDER

In 1984 the Scammell Commander entered service, the last in a series of British tank transporters born in the 1930s. This truck replaced the legendary Thornycroft Antar and was designed to be the transport of the heavy Challenger I MBT, a role it fulfilled until It was retired in 2004, when it was replaced by the American Oskosh M-1070F. Despite its good qualities, this tank transport was only in service with the British and the Jordanian Armies.
