Embraer EMB-312 TUCANO

At the end of 1978 the Brazilian Air Force promoted the development of a low cost training aircraft, with some capacity against insurgency combat, giving rise to the Embraer EMB-312 Tucano. Since then, more than 660 aircraft have flown in the five continents assuming a great sales success. The Tucano has been produced under license by Heliopolis Air Works of Egypt and by the Short Brothers company of the United Kingdom, in this case giving rise to the improved “Short Tucano” version.
