Panzer III.A gallery

The Panzer III.A had an entirely different undercarriage than the following models, consisting of 5 large-sized roadwheels instead of the smaller 8 roadwheels of the later variants. The armour was really thin, with a maximum thickness of 15mm, which gave it a weight of just over 15 tons.
Panzer III.A began the WWII entering Poland in September 1939, although its career was not particularly bright. Due to its suspension problems were removed from the combat units as early as February 1940, and subsequently destined to training units.
