Two carriages were manufactured for this howitzer / mortar, one for horse traction and the other for motorized traction. This one is for horses and this 210mm Langer Morser-16 had the standard wooden artillery wheels installed.Twelve Mrs.16 were sold to Sweden, (not this image), which even manufactured its own concrete-piercing shells. Later, Finland bought four second-hand units to Sweden and they were in service until the 60s.The motorization was imposed for the transport of heavy pieces of artillery. In this picture we could see an experimental artillery tractor designated as “Lastenverteilergerät” carrying the Langer Morser Mrs.16.
