EMB-312 TUCANO gallery

In 1987, Argentina started receiving thirty Tucano to replace their old Morane-Saulnier MS.760 Paris. Since then, they have trained nearly 800 Army, Navy and Air Force pilots.
Brazil has 168 Tucano as its main advanced trainer aircraft. The aircraft is expected to continue training Air Force and Naval Aviation pilots until 2022.
France had 50 Tucano in service from 1995 to 2009, when they were retired with almost half of their useful life available. They replaced the Fouga Magister trainers, which had been training French pilots for almost 40 years.
In 1985, the Short Tucano T.1 was an improved version of the original model and became the basic trainer of the RAF. Two variants were exported to Kenya and Kuwait, the Mk.51 and the Mk.52 respectively.
