The GBC.8 KB 6×6 had side gun ports to allow the use of weapons from inside. This armoured trucks are suitable for reconnaissance or convoy escort missions.The GBC.8 KB 6×6 was Berliet’s second attempt to equip the French Army with an armoured truck. The previous one consisted in a civilian Berliet GBC.8 6×6 with a Ricardo diesel engine installed and was built by French AMX company in 1959 under designation GBC.8 MK.
