ALBATROS class gallery

(Sperber ship). The Albatros class has a wooden hull and mount 4 diesel engines that allow them to reach 40 knots of maximum speed. The range is about 2,000 km at high speed.
(Bussard ship). Germany bases the defense of its coasts on submarines and on this type of small and maneuverable powerfully armed ships. The Bussard ship was sold to Ghana in 2005.
(Geier ship). The Albatros class was framed in two fast attack craft squadrons or “Schnellboot Geschwader”. They had numerals 2 and 7 and were based in Warnemünde, Mecklenburg, in the Baltic Sea.
In 1983, the P-6119 Habicht, was chosen to test the RAM short-range anti-aircraft/ anti-missile system, although no ships of this class mounted this weapon system.
(Kormoran ship). Seven ships of this class were built by Lürssen Yachts, and Kröger Shipyard built the remaining three between 1976 and 1977. These ships are suitable for small Navies and countries with large coastline.
